JPK Handbags!
This photo does not do them justice, but these beauties are bright, stunning and drop dead gorgeous in real life! Their practicality, shiny hardware and sturdy leather handles really make the JPK bucket bag a great choice for the summer. Black is classic, but papaya orange will really turn heads!

Leaping for Lavender!
So yesterday was my day off, and in typical girly fashion, my roommates and I went to get our nails done. I usually stay to the warm pinks and subtle nude tones...but in an inspired moment of complete adventure, I grabbed the latest pastel from O.P.I.'s summer collection, called "Rumples Wiggin"...A bright lavendar tone with a cool pink glow. Today, while unpacking the latest goodies from the Mint Julep mailman, I'm finding that pretty purple everywhere...

Dessert fit for a true Mint Julep girl!
With all the sunshine we've been having and Memorial Day just around the corner, it looks like it's time to pull out the recipe for my very favorite summertime dessert!
Ingredients:
20 oreo cookies (40 halves), fillings discarded, cookies crushed
5 Tbsp butter, melted
3/4 cup hot milk
24 large marshmallows
1/4 cup creme de menthe liqueur
2 tablespoons white creme de cacao
1 cup whipping cream, whipped
Optional: A drop or two of green food dye
Steps:
1. Preheat oven to 425°F. In a bowl, mix crushed oreo cookie halves and butter. Pat into bottom and sides of 10 inch pie dish. Bake in oven for 5 to 10 minutes; remove from oven and cool completely. Once cooled, place in freezer to chill.
2. In saucepan, melt marshmallows in milk over medium heat. Remove from heat and cool. Add creme de menthe and creme de cacao, and mix well. Add a drop or two of green food dye if desired. Fold in whipped cream. Pour into chilled pie shell. Freeze for 3 or 4 hours.
Serves 8. Serve with a dollop of whipped cream. Enjoy!

Mint Julep makes the Globe!
Featured in Boston Globe magazine today, our own Brooke Garber explains why the little black dress is an essential part of every woman's wardrobe:
Coco Chanel is truly the patron saint of evening wear. “The little black dress is never out of style, universally flattering, and can be worn any season,” says Brooke Garber, co-owner of the inviting Mint Julep boutiques in Brookline and Harvard Square. Current LBD updates include inventive necklines, marked pleating, and subtle appliques. “Cap sleeves are also popular for more religious weddings,” adds Garber, who recommends colorful or metallic accessories for a lighter look in the summer. As seen here around town, women are always happy to go black and forth.
Stop into your favorite Mint Julep location to scope out your own go-to little black dress!

Teeny House Bunny, we love you!
Mint Julep is proud to introduce the darling line Teeny House Bunny!
These hand-crafted pieces are made with love by our own Robin Reetz! Each item is lovelier than the next. The organza floral earrings are accented with a sweet little freshwater pearl for a feminine, pretty look. They come in a variety of colors-- the pictured peach and grey, as well as teal, white, black and bright magenta. The shimmering pyrite chunk necklace and earrings are so very chic- what a great alternative to pearls!
And have you ever seen anything cuter than the tea set hair pins??
