Netflix even informed me this morning that Blue Valentine will be arriving in my mailbox just in time for the storm. Can't wait to hunker down with a movie under a cozy blanket while listening to the storm outside...

You may remember the beautiful 3/4 sleeve Tibi Draped Silk Chiffon Dress in IVORY from back in the Spring at Mint Julep. It graced our racks for a few short days before it was completely sold out, most likely because everyone who tried it on fell in love and had to have it. Well, ladies, guess what! HBJ Trunk Show!

Tonight our lovely Hannah Blount exhibited pieces from her beautiful jewelry line at a trunk show at Topaz, the little accessories shop tucked around the corner from Mint Julep in Harvard Square. Sara and I took turns making an appearance and showing our support for the jewelry designer who is nearest and dearest to our hearts. From her newest nautical line of shells and barnicle-splattered pieces to her signature egg line, Hannah's work looked absolutely beautiful. Fabulous Furs!

I didn't want to admit that Fall was on its way until this morning, when these new jackets by Velvet arrived at the store. This afternoon, my thoughts are filled with winter scenes of me walking around the city, sipping hot cocoa and wearing this black cropped fur jacket... and images of me ice skating in this stunning leopard belted coat while soft sprinkles of snow fall (and I suddenly know how to skate like a pro). I am now envisioning all the cold weather activities and seasonal parties that will of course require my arrival in nothing less glamorous than a fur... Those will be the days. So, cold weather, bring it on! I welcome you!

Party Dresses Put to Use!

As many of you heard, good ole' MJ took home the gold and was awarded "Boston's Best Party Dresses" for 2011 by Improper Bostonian. The Julep gals were so very thrilled to celebrate this honor with the rest of Boston's Best at the Liberty Hotel this past week - we had SUCH a great time with everyone!
